Department description
Screening is the convention's theater. This department is in charge of the screening room and making sure that appropriate content is being shown for attendees to view.
Responsibilities
Before convention
- Manage and add to the conventions video library.
- Secure showing rights from publishers
- Choose appropriate shows or movies that work with the convention's theme
- Determine a schedule for shows
- Request and identify volunteers
During convention
- Set up the screening room
- Switch DVDs and start showing on time, according to our schedules - or identify and follow up with volunteers to do so
- Handle any issues with the screening room
The screening department may also be asked to assist with screening at sister conventions or other venues.

Staff will ensure movies are changed per a schedule and make sure the room is comfortable for attendees.
